April 2021 - Lunch PM Network – By the Book: The Agile Practice Guide - Creating an Agile Environment
PMI developed and produced an Agile Practice Guide with the 6th edition of PMBOK. After a high-level overview of this guide at the end of last year, we realized there is a lot of information in each section of the Guide! Join us over the next several months as we look at one section at a time and learn to incorporate the tools we discuss in our Mid-Missouri organizations!
Grab your lunch and plan to join us online. A link to the virtual meeting will be provided on registration.

May 2021 - PMs in the AM - Welcome to the Project, Alexa
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML) are being incorporated into the software we use and the businesses we manage. ML is a great tool for recognizing patterns and making predictions in our business processes. But how will project managers manage these systems, and what are the drawbacks? In this session, we will see how to easily train an ML algorithm and discuss the implications for our profession.
Grab your coffee and breakfast and plan to join us online. A link to the virtual meeting will be provided on registration.

Professional Development Conference 2021
Based on feedback from previous surveys we will be canceling the 2021 Professional Development Conference. We are incredibly disappointed, as you likely are, too. While many people will be vaccinated and signs are good that it will be safer to gather, we are hearing professional development budgets have been hit hard and many people will not have funding to participate in this type of event. We are certainly looking forward to seeing everyone in 2022!
Speakers for our Chapter's Events
Our PMI Chapter welcomes proposals from passionate speakers interested in sharing their experiences, knowledge and expertise on such topics as general business and strategy, leadership, project management, and technical or industry-specific specialties. Our Professional Development events provide professional development units (PDUs) of educational information necessary for those attendees maintaining certification designations. Speakers are also eligible to claim PDUs for their creation and delivery of the presentation material.
