John is a career IT professional and a fulltime project manager in the mid-Missouri area since 1999. His first training in Project Management came in 1984 when he was sent to San Francisco for a week to learn scheduling and load balancing. John was first credentialed as a PMP in 2015.
John is a current member of the PMI Mid-Missouri chapter and has attended many of the chapter’s training sessions. He holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and is a champion of metrics-based project management techniques. He favors Earned Value Management especially on large projects.
John has been project manager on several large state, federal, and commercial projects. The largest being the KEES project for the State of Kansas with a $137M budget. Here in Missouri John has served as project manager on the State of Missouri’s CIMOR project as well as the MOHSAIC project. John also worked for the federal government helping to upgrade a nation-wide application for the USDA during the RULES project. John is currently contracted to MFA Agriculture as project manager on their Merchant project which is installing new hardware and software across all MFA stores in the Midwest.
John lives in the mid-Missouri area where he has brought up 3 daughters who are all married and a son who attends college at Rolla. He has 5 grandchildren, the youngest being a set of 3-year-old twins and the oldest being a granddaughter in her second year of college in Sedalia.
