Gifting Wisdom

In the spirit of the season, our meeting will focus on sharing – gifting – wisdom. In a timed – game setting, our wise attendees will be provided scenarios, common or not, to project managers. Scenarios will range from peer settings to client requests and will all focus on providing – gifting – wisdom whether it be from experience or what one hopes would occur. Join our holiday fun as gifting wisdom will be augmented with gifting items provided by the Chapter.

Change Management

When does a change need to be managed? Are all changes managed utilizing the same process? Who decides? These and other questions regarding change management will be open for discussion. Please be prepared to share your experiences and opinions regarding change management; what worked to what was a disaster.

Hey, hello, what’s up. How do you communicate? Do you speak to the CIO in the same manner that you speak to technical team members? Have you ever mis-spoken and had to apologize – how did that go? Have you ever had to apologize for somebody else’s poor communication skills? All hailing frequencies are open, but is the listener understanding the message that you intend? Please be prepared to share how you communicate to varied stakeholders.

Project Start Up – What Really Matters

You are starting a new project. As a project manager, what information do you expect to receive, and who provides it? You hold a kickoff meeting with your internal team members –

what information do you expect team members to bring? What information do you bring? Attendees should be prepared to discuss their outcome expectations when starting a new project – what really matters?

Project Close Out – Who Said We are Done. How do you determine if your project is ready to close? Who decides? Do you have criteria for closing the project or did you just get to the end of your project plan? Attendees are asked to be prepared to discuss who, when, and under what circumstances is a project closed.
