In the first months of 2020 our typical meeting structure and format has almost completely moved to a virtual environment. Many of us had prior experience with virtual meetings, but perhaps not to the extent we have today. We may be realizing that leading and participating in virtual meetings is more of a challenge than we would have expected. So let’s spend this morning considering 4 components of virtual meetings that we can improve on with a little awareness and some practice.

Please let us know you’re planning to join in by registering for the virtual meeting on our website at https://pmimidmo.org.

Please note – this is a virtual meeting. Meeting connection information will be sent to participants prior to the meeting.

The Mid-Missouri Chapter is excited to hold this first meeting to introduce ourselves to the Rolla area project managers! After several months of planning and evaluating feedback provided by area project managers, we’re ready to meet up (virtually) and discuss what we can do together to strengthen project management knowledge and skills. We hope to get to know our Rolla Project Managers better through this event, and we anticipate this will be the first of many lively discussions to follow. Don’t miss out on this introduction meeting if you’re in the Rolla area!

Please let us know that you’re planning to join in by registering for the virtual meeting on our website at https://pmimidmo.org. The meeting ID and password will be emailed to registrants prior to the meeting.

Even the most entry-level project managers can usually recite the five phases of a project. Unfortunately, we often receive projects that have skipped a phase (or two) or at least did not take advantage of the key benefits of each phase.

This is our 2nd of five lunch meetings where we focus on individual phases. We will recap the “what should happen,” lament the “what gets missed,” and share best practices and course-correction tips. We hope you can join us for each month – but if not, we hope you will pop in for the phases where you or your teams need the most support!

On July 23rd we continue with the 2nd of our five-part series – “Project Progress by Phase: Pointers in Planning”

You will receive a link to Zoom 24 hours and 1 hour before the meeting.

For most of us, our project teams who were originally co-located are now working remotely. In order to continue the drive to successful projects, project managers need to recognize the challenges of managing remote project teams and direct their efforts to helping the virtual team remain motivated and productive. Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for this discussion as we identify the practices that will help us manage our virtual project teams.

Please let us know you’re planning to join in by registering for the virtual meeting on our website at https://pmimidmo.org.
