Call to Speakers is open for All Tracks

The PMI Mid Missouri Chapter is planning the largest educational experience for the project management mid-Missouri community in October 2018. Attendees will come to this event to grow their knowledge, learn from other practitioners, and hear about products and services that support the project management profession and personal career goals. We expect a gathering of at least 100 participants.

This year's professional development days - themed "Explore the Universe of Project Management" - will feature three keynote speakers and twelve breakout session speakers. This call is an opportunity for you to join the 2018 PMI Mid Missouri Professional Development Days line-up as a breakout speaker, focusing on topics in the talent triangle areas: leadership, strategic and business management, and technical project management.

Deadline for speakers to return applications: May 15, 2018.  Final selections: May 31, 2018

Speaker Guidelines

  • Topic and message must deliver education value and be focused on providing skills and/or participant action items which will give or improve project/program management competencies.
  • Presentation format must be delivered in a 1-hour breakout session.
  • The Speaker Committee will select speakers based on the most appropriate topics, the speaker's experience as a professional speaker, and references supplied by members, the speakers, and other sources.
  • Speakers should refrain from giving any sales pitches or sale promotions during the presentation. Handouts are acceptable, but should be congruent with message and approved in advance by the PMI Mid Missouri Chapter VP of Professional Development. Handout replication is the responsibility of the speaker.
  • All speakers are expected to adhere to the PMI Code of Ethics.
  • The PMI Mid Missouri Chapter does not distribute member information. As a result, many speakers collect business cards via a raffle item basket. This should be discussed in advance with the Speaker Committee.
  • We do not provide honoraria to breakout speakers. Speaker travel and hotel expenses will be covered and conference fee will be waived to those selected by the Speakers Committee.

Speaker submissions will be reviewed and considered for selection. Please complete the Application for Presentation Form:
