PMs in the AM: AI in the Workplace: New tech, New stress.
Session Description:
We've all heard the big promises about AI transforming work. The reality is more complicated. Most organizations are still figuring out how to make AI work for them, and recent research suggests that even when it does work, it can make our jobs more intense rather than easier. In this one-hour session, we'll take an honest look at where things actually stand — the latest AI capabilities like agents and AI browsers, where organizations are in the adoption curve, and the emerging downsides that don't get enough attention, including the flood of low-quality AI output researchers call "workslop" and findings that AI is making many workers busier, not less. This is a practical conversation aimed at helping project managers navigate what's coming. Grab your coffee and plan to join us online.
What you can expect to learn:
- What AI agents and AI browsers are, what they can actually do today, and what they can't.
- How to think about your organization's AI maturity and what realistic progress looks like.
- Why AI-generated "workslop" is costing organizations more than they realize.
- How AI is quietly intensifying work through expanded task lists, blurred boundaries, and a treadmill effect.
- Practical steps project managers can take to capture AI's benefits without burning out their teams.
