PMs in the AM: Small Business Tactics for Project Managers
Session Description:
What does a hospitality mindset have to do with project management? More than you might think. Grab your coffee and join Kristen Lux and Greg Grimes of For the Love of Systems (FTLOS) for a practical session that translates their small business operations frameworks into tools and strategies that resonate with anyone who manages people, processes, and projects for a living.
Kristen and Greg bring over four decades of combined experience in small business operations, including early careers in high-end hospitality environments, where anticipating needs and flawlessly executing are the standard. That same service-first ethos informs their frameworks and approach to business operations.
Grab your coffee and plan to join us online.
What you can expect to learn:
-
- How the Foundations of Operations Success and Layers of Operations frameworks work: why starting with habits and processes (rather than software) produces better systems outcomes.
- Where the Burnout Line lives in your organization: how understanding the line between decision-making and action-taking can protect team capacity and reduce context-switching.
- How the Delegation + Automation Planner (DAP) works: how it functions as a structured, repeatable process for evaluating workload, resourcing decisions, and automation opportunities across a business.
How DAP insights drive strategic decisions: when to bring on support, what to automate, and how to align team responsibilities with business goals.
