Session Description:
Join PMI Mid-Missouri for 'Plans, Popcorn & PDUs: Behind the Builds at Lakeside Ashland Drive-In', a special evening event combining project management, networking, and a family-friendly movie under the fall stars!
The evening begins with a 1.0-PDU “behind the build” learning session featuring Lakeside’s owners and project partners. Attendees will hear firsthand how the vision for Lakeside became a reality, including the planning, partnerships, construction, challenges, and project decisions involved in developing and operating this unique local entertainment venue. The discussion will connect real-world lessons from the project with familiar project management concepts including planning, stakeholder coordination, scope, cost, schedule, risk, and business objectives.
Your $30 registration includes admission to the Lakeside complex for one carload of family and friends, plus one bottomless popcorn and soda package to enjoy during the evening. Additional food, beverages, alcohol, and concession packages are the responsibility of the registrant and guests.
Gates open at 5:00PM, with the PDU session beginning at 5:30PM on the upper-level deck above the concessions building. Then bring out your lawn chairs and blankets—or settle in and watch from your vehicle—for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) beginning at 6:30PM under the fall stars. The movie is expected to conclude around 8:30PM.
The movie and social activities are part of the evening’s event experience but are separate from the 1.0-PDU educational session.
