PMs @ Lunch: Labor of Love: A Podcast Discussion over Projectified, "The Art of Project Management"

Power Skills

Session Description:

Project management is more than plans, schedules, and deliverables—there is an art to bringing people together to accomplish meaningful work.

Before the session, registrants will watch or listen to PMI’s Projectified episode, “The Art of Project Management: Creativity, Connection and Joy at Work.” The episode explores how creativity, leadership, human connection, and team culture contribute to meaningful project work. Participants may separately self-report 1.0 PDU for completing the podcast.

Then join Jana Bott and fellow PMI Mid-Missouri members for a one-hour interactive discussion about the ideas presented in the episode. Participants will share their own experiences and perspectives, consider how the lessons translate across different industries and project environments, and explore ways to bring more creativity, connection, and purpose into their own work.

The conversation concludes with a challenge for everyone: What will YOU do to level up your own project management art?

What You Can Expect to Learn:

  • Explore how creativity and human connection contribute to effective project leadership.
  • Discuss ways project managers can foster collaborative and engaging team environments.
  • Connect lessons from the podcast to projects and experiences across different industries.
  • Learn from the experiences and perspectives of fellow project professionals.
  • Identify one practical way to level up your own project management art.

About the Speaker:

Jana Bott, Director of Client Satisfaction at Mission Critical Partners and longtime facilitator of PMI Mid-Missouri’s PMs @ Lunch program, will host the discussion and guide participants in connecting the podcast’s themes to their own project experiences.

The featured Projectified episode is hosted by Stephen W. Maye, who leads a conversation with project professionals Jim Digby, PMP, Tour and Production Director at Show Makers, and Liliana Janette Gómez Castrejón, PMP, Project Manager at The LEGO Group. Together, they explore creativity, leadership, connection, team culture, and the joy of delivering meaningful project work.
